Can we expect more wiki formatting support along the lines of moinmoin

MoinMoin wiki has so far been the model for Trac's wiki,
even when it's truly annoying, like the use of '''...''' for bold
(instead of, say '**').
So yes, we can add more. What do you need?

(or maybe even incorporating moinmoin code wholesale so you can get out of writing wiki code)?

No.
1. MoinMoin is GPL'ed, Trac has switched to a BSD-like license.

2. We love to write Wiki code :)

The current support is fantastic but a little more table attribute contol would be great (e.g. left/right justify, row/column span).

Yep, there's already (at least) one ticket about that:
http://projects.edgewall.com/trac/ticket/1424

As explained there, you can already get complex tables in Trac
provided you have the reStructuredText tools (docutils).

Btw, kudos for a great product. We're starting to use it extensively in our small team for task management, a simple external website and basic subversion browsing. We hooked in authentication to the local LDAP server and overall its been great to work with.

Thanks!
