Hi, I work for a living in a Big Company (tm) where the QA department team has chosen heavy duty tools such as ClearCase as the SCM and Visual Intercept for bug tracking.
Although Subversion and Trac would not scale well for our kind of multi-site organization (over a dozen of worldwide sites), we've found in our local team that it would help us a lot to use Subversion+Trac for our software development, then push our deliveries (twice a week or so) to the ClearCase monster, and synchronize back to our Subversion repository. Anyway, I've written a bunch of tools to help us working with our "subversive" environment: * synchronization scripts (CC -> SVN, SVN -> CC) * improved "hook" scripts (100% python, no need for the "svn" CLI tool anymore) * CC "version tree" - like graphical view, as a Trac plugin, which itself relies on the excellent GraphvizPlugin (sample: http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/6/2428/1600/revtree.jpg) * etc. I don't think it is worth creating a new project on Trac Hacks to publish these tools, as they are quite specific to the way we work, and might not be used "as is", but they might be of some interest for other people. Please contact me (private email to avoid off topic discussion in this very ML) if you're interested in some of the tools. I would thank the author of the excellent graphviz plugin (for the revtree generation), and Alec Thomas for the new XmlRpc plugin which is simply great for retrieving Trac information remotely. Thanks again ! -- Manu _______________________________________________ Trac mailing list [email protected] http://lists.edgewall.com/mailman/listinfo/trac
