I've been using TracRedirect to get something close to this.

I started using it because I realized I had multiple pages with very
similar content (similar enough that I should just consolidate) but
different names.  TracRedirect let me keep that content around, but
"hidden" as the redirect happens as soon as the page has loaded.

You can use directories (well, they're virtual, not real) to create
categories.  There may be a category plugin too, I don't know.  Or you
could check out TracTags.

I think the answer on the "style" aspect is more "whatever works for
your project and users."  As long as you're consistent.
