Hi, >"'utf8' codec can't decode byte 0xe9 in position 18"
This means it's the 18th character of the page's text that's causing your error. If you can remove that character in the database, it should be able to display the page. You can find out what text comes before and after this character by querying the database: select substr(text, 0 , 17) from wiki where name='your_page_name_here' order by version desc limit 1; select substr(text, 19, length(text)) from wiki where name = 'your_page_name_here' order by version desc limit 1; Then patch those two together with a normal character and do an update statement to put the page text back in. Other than manually updating the database, I don't know of another solution. Maybe somebody else has an idea? -Lauren -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] on behalf of Gilles Vincent Sent: Wed 6/14/2006 1:33 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [Trac] just a question for assistance.. Hi, I'm managing a french version of trac (I downloaded it on track-hacks a long time ago).. It's an 1.0dev, I can't be more precise. But it's not my problem here : the wiki crashed because of a non-utf8 character (it's at http://zone.spip.org/trac/spip-zone) I think I can edit an export of the sqlite database. But is there another more common solution ? What is the signification of "decode byte 0xe9 in position 18" : is it the line of the wiki I must correct ?
