So... we can assume from the path that you are running tracd on a
Windows machine.

I'm not sure whether the line ending issue between both machines could
cause a trouble here, but it would be worth verifying this point
first:

did you run the unix2dos command (or recode lat1..ibmpc) on the Linux
host before copying the file to the Windows host ?
