It's probably not necessary in the technical sense, but it is a useful "gotcha" to publish. It may or may not be appropriate for the Trac wiki, as specified, but it is an issue that is often encountered and very well might affect Trac users.
I know I've run into this often when internal domains have been set up by someone other than myself. After you run into it a few times you learn to recognize it, but when you hit it the first time...the time wasted trying to track it down is ridiculous. If there is an appropriate place to publish the info and the test case which involves Trac is one that may be "reasonably* encountered by others then I would think it's probably good information to make available to others.
