With post-xxx, it's not as big a deal, but with pre-xxx there could be some serious problems. The way that you chain them would have to ensure that the proper error code is propagated; every script needs a chance to reject the transaction.
Plus, do not forget that all the scripts are called synchronously with the svn client request.
