My work uses Perforce as our version control system and Trac as our bug tracking system. Some time ago we put some effort into implementing a Perforce plugin for Trac using the PyPerforce interface for Perforce. This work was initially based on early versions of version control plugins by Christian Boos, Jason Parks and Thomas Tressieres and so much thanks must go to them for their trail-blazing work :)
After several iterations and refinements we managed to get something running that performs reasonably well on our moderate sized Perforce repository (~80K changes) and that supports most of the features currently provided by the Subversion backend. We're contributing this work this back to the community so that others can take advantage of the work done done so far and can help to improve it further. I've updated the page at http://trac-hacks.org/wiki/PerforcePlugin with some information about the new plugin version. There are a number of outstanding issues and features that I've brain dumped into some tickets here: http://trac-hacks.org/report/9?COMPONENT=PerforcePlugin If anyone has any more ideas or would like to collaborate on improving this plugin then please post your thoughts to the relevant ticket or create a new ticket. I'm be interested in receiving feedback from anyone regarding the code, performance, functionality or bugs.
