I experimented with the Mercurial plugin and noticed it also works to a certain extent with Trac /trunk. The only problem I noticed with /trunk is the missing pulldowns in the UI for selecting tags or branches.
With the vc-refactoring branch the pulldowns work, but I am a bit reluctant to use the vc-refactoring branch since I don't know what the upgrade path will be when Trac 0.10 releases. I don't want to loose my tickets, or Wiki pages.
How much of vc-refactoring functionality was integrated into /trunk? Would any one of you have some pointers in regards to which features are still missing ( e.g. were the branch/tag selectors left out deliberately)? Is the architecture of integrating the SCM system the same at all between vc-refactoring and /trunk? Were there any hacks specifically for Mercurial, e.g. to support the hex revision numbers and multiple parents per revision?
From the roadmap of 0.10 it looks like the features to support additional SCM systems would be there in /trunk today. Is that a correct assumption?
Any hints greatly appreciated.
