Ezio Melotti <ezio.melo...@gmail.com> added the comment: I removed some unnecessary whitespace around the menu in r88812 so the situation now should be better. The minimal width is given by the cols="72" and size="50" attributes in the comment field and in the input fields. This could be changed via CSS somehow (it's not trivial to get the right min/max-width right on all the browsers though), but if this is good enough I won't touch the fields.
