R David Murray <rdmur...@bitdance.com> added the comment: It doesn't mean any of those things, Anatoly. Security issues are a separate concern. Even if it takes ten minutes to implement the links and two to check them during an upgrade, that's still an unjustified maintenance burden for the level of traffic this tracker gets. Now, if you want to organize a team working on tracker maintenance, that situation might change. Right now, we just have Ezio working via GSoC (thank you Ezio!), and Martin and I when we decide to devote some of our scarce time to it. If Ezio, who is and has done the bulk of the work on issues in this metatracker, doesn't think it is worth it, then it shouldn't be done.
Alternatively you could get actively engaged, learn the source, and start proposing patches, this one among them. And/or, given your words, do the same upstream. Speaking of scarce time, why did I devote some of my scarce time to answering this post? Oh, well, the time has already been spent, I might as well post it. ---------- nosy: +r.david.murray _______________________________________________________ PSF Meta Tracker <metatrac...@psf.upfronthosting.co.za> <http://psf.upfronthosting.co.za/roundup/meta/issue392> _______________________________________________________ _______________________________________________ Tracker-discuss mailing list Tracker-discuss@python.org http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/tracker-discuss
