Hi all, I have some comments for you about possible ways to open up the community more, give it a good public face, etc, and hope that you all are excited by my ideas (and hopefully you either have thought of what I'm hoping can be developed (or is being worked on) or tell me get busy in helping out getting this setup with trackerd, which I would love to do...).
Clear project website I think that some solid domain like www.tracker-project.org should be registered and put online to point to the current website...currently it is a bit unclear where this project is at, fd.o, gnome.org, etc, and it will help to have one clear answer to people. Also, it would be great to get all the site cleaned up and remove the lorem ipsum text. Wiki A mediawiki or other wiki should be setup at http://wiki.tracker-project.org/ so that many people can help plug in thoughts, lightly help, etc. I know that there is the fd.o wiki, but I think the wiki and the sites should be together, whether that is on gnome.org or fd.o infrastructure. Who has the keys to do these things? Chat Channel Also, I think it would be good to start communicating on #tracker on irc.freenode.net about development and holding shop there to get more people involved. I'm very excited by this project, so would like to help how I can to get the community brewing and the word out about this great project.
