Hello, I'm one of those 'wacko' Beagle users who dislike the Microsoft-Novell agreement. Last week I decide to uninstall Beagle and started to look for an alternative. After testing several option I believe that Meta Tracker is the best one.
I have several questions about it. I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask them, I hope it is. Here they are: 1. I read in the homepage that support of email (specially Kmail) searching will be done in the future. Any idea about when? For me it's very important, it's the feature I used more with Beagle. 2. I'm a KDE user. I read that Tracker is neutral about the desktop but now all the GUIs are for Gnome. Is there any plan to support KDE? Now I'm using the tracker-search-tool without any problem. 3. When I start trackerd (0.5.0 on Kubuntu 6.10) I got the following error: Using Sqlite version 3.3.8 Loading prepared queries... File loaded in 36,000000 ms initialising the indexer Opening index /home/javier/.Tracker/databases/Files Bucket count (max is 524288) is 106388 and Record Count is 106825 preferred bucket count is 106825 database file /home/javier/.Tracker/databases/fulltext is present starting database closure for thread main Database closed for thread main starting database closure for thread main Database closed for thread main Checking tracker DB version...Current version is 11 and needed version is 10 Is it normal? Should I do anything about it?
