Ah, I must have enabled it and forgotten about it.  Thanks for
clarifying that.  As such, I think that there should be a runtime check
to ensure that the convert utility is present.  Or perhaps an option
which (--enable-thumbnailing ?) would check for those dependencies.
Which do you think is the better route? (I could try to come up with a
patch for the preferred option.)
