I thought about sth like that too before.. I've created a little mix of the find (from oxygen), search (from tango) and the beagle icon (the colors) http://www.mant1core.de/tracker.svg It's not very original since it's only a mixup of existing icons, but it's not that bad, imho ;). maybe better than the default search icon used atm.
