realpath does not convert ~. It just normalize paths like .././../.// and so on we can really use realpath but this is not a substitute to write ~/documents When you move home user dir to another path, you must rewrite absolute paths in tracker cfg file, using ~ is simpler (and shorter). > feel free to resubmit patch using realpath if it does.
