yes although I would like these updated for xesam in 0.7. they must also
handle deletes and junk email before including by default. As soon as I
have xesam support up I will look at migrating them. Atm I dont want to
add any new services until xesam support is in.

we also have hal patch which does the remote mounts and will likely use
that (I assume hal is being ported to solaris)

its not quite right - for emails you can simply delete the db files
(email.*) which would be a lot faster and simpler

however you would need to close all open email databases first which is
a problem as it could lead to crashes

best bet would force restart and delete files in trackerd.c
