Thanks Jamie. I looked at the glib versions.

On my boot cd, it has glib-1:1.2.10-26-fc7.1386 and glib2-2.12.13-1.fc7.i386
(it is the Fedora7 base).
My development box has Fedora8 and glib-1:1.2.10-28.i386 and
glib2-2.14.6-1.fc8.i386 installed.

Do you think I have to upgrade my Fedora to 8 on the boot cd?

Thanks,
Jin

Its probably because you have an older glib installed - upgrade to
latest and it should be fine
