Old annoying topic - photo importer. If you still do not have headace. There is two variants of importer: simple - no questions, no chose, no previews. no need of tracker before import. Still need to extract metadata (still best work for tracker) advanced - with choice and previews. This can't be based on gthumb-importer, probably will perform better to base importer on lite version of solang. (I need support of groups, video and audio). This need tracker before import and after. There are use cases without import but with use of dcim grouping: - moblin (maemo? megoo?) use medialibrary, this will profit from dcim grouping. - other internet tablets and netbooks, do we really wont to import photos on this kind of devices? For example to send email and so on. So yes, i need tracker. > I agree that IndexRemovableMedia as it is may be a too rough cut for > your needs, but I don't think it should be possible to just let > applications bypass what the user told Tracker to do :). > > We could perhaps have more fine grained configuration here to make a > difference between cameras, mp3 players, usb sticks and such. If there is option to disable tracker on removable media, i still need to be sure the data is indexed on camera. For example my program start and ask: is the data indexed on /media/cam ? if not please do it! What is other option except to just force indexing? _______________________________________________ tracker-list mailing list [email protected] http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/tracker-list
