You do? Can you file a bug about this then, that should work.
Oh dear, I'm caught spreading hearsay ... I read this somewhere once
so always put tracker in /usr, but if it's not common knowledge then
it's probably also not true.

I do too, but only because I can't be bothered to start a jhbuild
environment to test Tracker :) - incidentally, I am forced to do that
every now and then and know it works in /opt/gnome* so AFAIK, there are
no prefix issues. But if you do find it is problematic - let me know.
Quite evil really, I should use /usr/local.
