past IIRC we used D-Bus activation to start those services on-demand.
It is due to GNOME bug 725607.
I should add, the current solution is not full proof either, there is no
watchdog for the extractor, so if you have files causing repeated
crashes, the extractor is only started manually, or via tracker-control
or on next login to the desktop.
We should have some fix for this ideally.
