Absolutely. Last time we discussed this with KDE was at Gran Canaria desktop summit I think. Too much time has passed since that awesome conversation we had with them. I kept asking GNOME for more desktop summits, but people at the foundation thought that it would be better to go back to doing GUADECs. Yet this stuff is important and we need the bandwidth of face to face conversation and the pulse that a desktop summit creates in people to get this stuff going again. But really, we need to let go of ALL GNOME politics when we want to get things that ought to be shared done. Opensource-cities do their own thing and that's good for everybody. You don't convince another city by making them completely dependent on your rivers: people dig their own canal instead. I guess this is also how to organize a summit together: coexist, have friendly peaceful competition -- Henry A. Wallace, the way to peace - new deal.
