I installed the latest tracker from ubuntu repositories (1.12).
Tracker seems to always take about 50% of cpu, is there a way to throttle
tracker?

It also never seem to really finish. File system seems to hang around one
percent most of the time
the extractor process cycles to 100% and then starts over again. When I
left racker overnight I saw the
file system go to about 60% or so.

I usually stop tracker with tracker daemon -t when I get tired of the
cooling fan running.

Can I do something to improve this?

thanks!
