Adrian, You must supply power to the Nuvi through the connector on the back of the unit besides having the FMI cable connected to the OT2 through the connector on the side of the Nuvi. The voltage is supplied from the Nuvi to the usb-to-serial adapter in the cable. Not from the OT2.
