Thanks for the response, I have it on an outside antenna known to be good, 
checked the adpater did not see anything there but will try another. I wonder 
if there is a filter or something in the default settings?? 

Increased max range to 200 did not seem to change things, just seems to me if I 
can hear the data burst on my HT on the same frequency I should see some 
message from the T2-301 when monitored in hyper terminal?
