As long as the radio is powered on, in other words until you disable the
function. The DIGI OFF command only disables digipeating via your
callsign. You would have to use USEALIAS X OFF to turn digipeating for
other aliases.

Most people seem to argue against mobile digis. It can make things
"interesting" when digis come and go or move around. If someone sends
something out using the "reverse digi path" and you are no longer there,
it would fail. I would suggest enable it when it's needed and disable it
when it isn't and that "when it's needed" will usually be for some
special function. On the other hand, if you are in an area where there
are very few digis, perhaps having a mobile digi is better than no digi.
With that said, a digi with a gain antenna and quite possibly at a
higher elevation than your vehicle might be more effective.

I'm referring to WIDEn-N above. For something like TEMPn-N or SARn-N,
you could leave it enabled unless you knew you were causing problems. As
with any other aliases, pre-emptive digipeating could be enabled or not.
My opinion would be to only enable pre-emptive digipeating for those
aliases when needed.

Stand by for more opinions, but my take on it would be the same as for a
fixed digi. Know when it's needed and when it isn't.
