Now that I've successfully reloaded the firmware to my T2-135 and can beacon my position at will I also started to use the messaging more to communicate with the T2 using the Nuvi 350.
Since I plan to also use the 350 / Alinco / T2-135 in my boat I was switching the 'symbols' that show up on the mapping software from *car* to * boat.* That works just fine. However, when trying to switch back to the car symbol I realized I was unable to find the ">" symbol within the Nuvi's messaging letters / symbols / numbers screens! Are these symbols simply not supported by the Nuvi or am I not seeing how to access them? While looking I also noticed there is no "\" but there is a" /". This limits somewhat what can be programmed to the T2 through the Nuvi...but, what'd'ya do about it? Thanks for any insight, Pete KC0GPB
