Thanks for the reply Scott.  I think I have a version 1 unit, purchased in
October, one of the last V1's.  I do have a couple of questions.....

1. Did you see my post about TXLEVEL?  Changing TXLEVEL doesn't seem tho change
the deviation at all.  I am currently getting out with TXLEVEL set at 0.  My
reliability doesn't seem too good, sometimes my transmission report shows up on
the Nuvi and sometimes it doesn't.

2. Purchasing the unit in October I would have thought it had the latest
firmware but it doesn't recognize the SNOOP command.  I can't relate the
response to my VERSION command to the firmware versions list on the Wiki.  What
should the response to a VERSION command be?

3. Any plans to fix the multiple messages problem?

Thanks,

Al

The regulator is rated at 1 amp, and with the v2.0 boards you can
probably draw that much safely (they've got heavier copper and thermal
vias to spread heat better) but you'll need to bypass the PTC fuse that
will otherwise limit it to around 400 mA, not quite enough to run the
nuvi when it wants to charge the battery.
