Greetings, I was just playing with the DAO digits in my wife's T2-135 (KJ4OVQ-9) and it seems that the additional precision piece of the beacon isn't coming out correctly. From aprs.fi:
KJ4OVQ-9>APOT21,WIDE1-1,WIDE2-2:/152533h2759.80NS08039.53Wv251/000!W! That !W! is supposed to have 2 more characters in there that are either the raw additional digits (as implied by the T2-135 manual, "an extra digit of precision") or a base-91-encoded pair of digits for each of the lat and lon (per http://www.aprs.org/aprs12/datum.txt). Is anyone else using this or did I not get enough configuration modified to have it work properly? The T2-135 is inside an Alinco DR-135 and is connected via an FMI cable to a Nuvi 350. Is it possible that FMI doesn't provide more than hundredths of minutes of precision? Lynn (D) - KJ4ERJ PS. I've turned DAO back off after this initial test, so you're looking for 2 raw packets between 15:21:25 and 15:26:15 UTC at http://aprs.fi/?c=raw&call=KJ4OVQ-9. She's mobile today so these will be rolling back in time, so here's the capture of the time range: 2010-03-12 15:20:42 UTC: KJ4OVQ-9>APOT21,WIDE1-1,WIDE2-2,qAR,K4RPT-5:/152056h2759.80NS08039.53Wv027/000 2010-03-12 15:21:23 UTC: KJ4OVQ-9>APOT21,WIDE1-1,WIDE2-2,qAR,KJ4ERJ-2::KJ4ERJ-AL:ack261 2010-03-12 15:21:25 UTC: KJ4OVQ-9>APOT21,WIDE1-1,WIDE2-2,qAR,K4RPT-5::KJ4ERJ-AL:DAO ON{ab 2010-03-12 15:23:15 UTC: KJ4OVQ-9>APOT21,WIDE1-1,WIDE2-2,qAR,KJ4ERJ-2:> Safari Van 2010-03-12 15:23:20 UTC: KJ4OVQ-9>APOT21,WIDE1-1,WIDE2-2,qAR,KJ4ERJ-2:/152332h2759.80NS08039.53Wv203/000!W! 2010-03-12 15:25:19 UTC: KJ4OVQ-9>APOT21,WIDE1-1,WIDE2-2,qAR,K4RPT-5:/152533h2759.80NS08039.53Wv251/000!W! 2010-03-12 15:26:12 UTC: KJ4OVQ-9>APOT21,WIDE1-1,WIDE2-2,qAR,KJ4ERJ-2::KJ4ERJ-AL:ack263 2010-03-12 15:26:15 UTC: KJ4OVQ-9>APOT21,WIDE1-1,WIDE2-2,qAR,K4RPT-5::KJ4ERJ-AL:DAO OFF{aa [Duplicate message ID] 2010-03-12 15:27:21 UTC: KJ4OVQ-9>APOT21,WIDE1-1,WIDE2-2,qAR,K4RPT-5:/152735h2759.80NS08039.53Wv128/000
