I power everything on at the same time. I have my entire HT OT2m system on cig
lighter power on a simple 12v extension cord from radio shack that has a built
in power switch wired to a 4 way splitter so when I get the switch everything
goes on at the same time. I have put the links below of my wiring system. it’s
a great little system because everything sits behind my seat with gps power and
gps data cable going under my seat and if I ever have to take the stuff out for
any reason I can do it quickly without tearing the car apart. also at the main
plug I have a normal 2 way splitter so I can plug in cell phone charger away
from the on/off switch. I hope I make since of my setup. and yes I know I could
have got my wiring parts cheaper but radio shack wiring is a lot better built
then that cheap truck stop stuff
