Yea, when hooking an OT2m to an HT, you're going in and out via the microphone and speaker connections. Volume setting matters. With the T2-135, and even an external OT2m with the proper cable from the back of the DR-135, you have straight audio tapped off before the volume control. The T2-135/DR-135 makes a nice clean unit (which is why I have 2), but the DR-135 pairs up with external TNCs like the OT2m easier because of the "data" port in the back unaffected by volume. Fewer things to go worng.
