As I understand it, the +in is actually Vcc, and is powered by any of the 3
inputs(plug, DB9, front panel), and the grounds are common grounds, and the
Vout is supposed to be switched power.

Here's my problem.

I'm expecting the relay to be OFF unless it's programmed to turn on, either
before a transmission (if programmed), or via console or APRS message.

The problem I have is, if I select the power control to be on, it will remain
off until it goes to transmit, which is normal...

However, if I leave the control OFF, the relay will turn on as soon as I reset
the tracker, which I cannot have.

I can manually trigger the relay through the setup application, and it works
fine. But when I reset the unit, it turns itself back on.

Is this a situation where it remembers it's last state? or does it revert to ON
by default when power is removed from the system? Do I need to send a console
message POWER OFF, then it will remain off until I send POWER ON?? Will ut
retain it after reset?

Little insight would be appreciated. I understand we're all amateur radio
operators here, and we're supposed to experiment, but two lines in a manual
without any explanation as to how it's supposed to work is kinda frustrating..

I have a system critical device that needs to remain on unless instructed
otherwise, or else it could kill the system pretty quick. I have the power
going through NC contacts on a relay, and am driving the relay from the power
pads (+out and gnd), so when the relay activates, it disconnects power.

Thanks!
