Sorry about that. You said you already had the FMI cable. When you
asked about a data cable, I just assumed that you meant for between
the radio (T2-135) and a computer. As Larry mentioned, you could
have ordered the cable from Scott with a DE-9 connector already
installed. Perhaps you can get someone to do it for you. There are only
three wires involved - ground, transmit data and receive data - and to
make sure there is some strain relief.

It looked like a nice demo of the Nuvi in FMI mode. I didn't have time
to watch it all, but I "fast forwarded" through it and saw the highlights.
Just follow the link that Larry provided and the text description will indicate
which colours go on which pin... "For the T2-135... use white - pin 2,
yellow - pin 3, black - pin 5 on a male DB9." Are there any other hams
with a  steady hand in the area  that could help you out with the connector?
