Can anyone provide some guidance on installing Tracks
on a TextDrive shared hosting account (using Webmin)?
I know my way around Apache, PHP, etc. and typically
work from the command line using SSH on RedHat and
CentOS boxes, but this is my first Ruby install using
a third-party host as recommended by bsag herself, and
I'm a bit lost.
Has anyone documented the install procedures for
TextDrive accounts?
There are pretty comprehensive steps for installing Rails apps on a
Textdrive account at
http://support.textdrive.com/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=71 If you follow
those steps to get basic Rails functionality going, the Tracks install
instructions pretty much take over from there. This is , AFAIK, the only
way to make any Rails application work on Textdrive. I run Tracks from
Textdrive, and following the material at the link above is exactly what I
did.
