I agree, adding a title for notes add little value and more confusion. Since notes are (currently at least) associated with actions, I would think the action would function as the title. Perhaps we should modify the notes page to include the text of the action as a psuedo-title for each note?

I would support this: I don't think a title should be made compulsory. As a kind of 'friction-free' option, how about the first line if it's less than N characters, or the first N characters if the first line is longer.
