As many pointed out, this could potentially open up Tracks to a much wider 
audience. Existing
users would also find cool ways to interact with the application.

It is also nice to see Tracks being pimped on the announcement post

As for release priority imo 1.5 should come out first. While it is ok to work 
with Sligshot in
parallel, it really would be a bummer if the release date of 1.5 
(it-comes-when-it-comes) is
delayed due to work on Sligshot.
