Hi all, RailsConf just wrapped up here in Portland and it was a great event.
I met a few people who used Tracks, and sat down with Jim Van Fleet, who is hacking a Slingshot-ified version of Tracks code-named "Getting Things Slung." He's going to start working off trunk and submitting patches. I went to the talk about Slingshot from the Joyent guys and while it is still half-baked, it should be very suitable for Tracks. They're going to work on porting Joyent Connector to Slingshot soon, so that should help drive new features and good decisions on the Slingshot architecture and codebase. I've started going through the Trac and getting ruthless with tickets for the next release, to try to scope down the work and time before we can package up a new stable release. If there are any lurking Rails devs on the list, I'd love patches to help us get to a solid release sooner. That's all for now! Cheers from Portland, Luke _______________________________________________ Tracks-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.rousette.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/tracks-discuss
