Hi Steve,

I'd like to see an overview page of tags, just like there is now for contexts and projects. A tag could have an attribute 'hidden', which is set for the system-defined tag 'starred'. In pages that list actions, it should be possible to pull up a dialog that sets the preconfigured tag. That way I could quickly change the star tag to, say, 'repeat' (which is a tag I use for recurring actions) and add that tag to some actions simply by clicking the star in front of them. A further nice-to-have would be a short list of 'preferred tags' somewhere on the page with a checkbox in front of it to quickly reassign what the star tag is.

How does that sound?

IMO, it sounds pretty cool for power users but very confusing for other users.

PS: By the way, working with the trunk has removed almost all uncomfortable bits in Tracks. Apart from the speed/responsiveness it is really very pleasant to work with.

Cool. Thanks for the feedback.

The only thing I am missing are user-defined constraints on contexts. For example, I would like to specify that all actions in a context are assigned to a project, or that their 'due date' is filled.

Interesting idea. Please do open tickets for each of these on the Trac.

A related feature I've tossed around is a way to apply a certain modification to multiple actions.

Cheers from NYC,
Luke

Yes - that's what I'd use it for. Although it's not strict canonical
GTD, I think it's sometimes useful to decide that you're going to try
to focus on a collection of actions one day, so the stars would be a
good way to mark those actions and then view them together in a list.
You could, I suppose, also use it to manually mark 'next actions' in
a project, if you have dependencies.
