Thanks!

That would be great if someone could update that. I'm not a Linux
expert, so I'm probably not up to dealing with the details myself.
However, if someone could come up with a chunk of helpful text, I'll
update the manual with it.

Good point.

Agreed. Though I'm also planning a screencast which would cover this.
I do also now mention it on the project home page as one of the
features - but you're right - it could be more prominent.

Absolutely. I bought a copy of Screenflow with Tracks donations (since
we don't seem to be getting much closer to our goal of buying laptops,
it seemed a good intermediate buy for the project), and I'm in the
process of making a few screencasts. I'm going to do an introductory
one covering the basics of starting with an empty database, moving
around the interface, adding projects, contexts and actions etc. Then
I was going to cover more specific stuff like tags, the stats page and
the mobile interface. But if anyone else wants to create some, I'd be
happy to host them.

Rather than releasing whole new minor versions of Tracks with updated
manuals, I think it would be a good idea to update the HTML manual on
the site and the downloadable PDF manual linked on that page, then
include the changes on the next point release of Tracks.

cheers,
bsag
