Thanks. I've seen that fairly often where the update indicator keeps spinning. Maybe I'll try with Chrome and see if there is any difference.
I've also had odd redirects to xml listings. By a tag page, I mean a place to filter / navigate the system from tags. Right now, you have to find the tag you want next to a todo, or go to the stats tag cloud. I'm now using tags for agenda's - e.g. tag with the person's name - so I can review items with them without duplicating. A little loss of traceability, but I'm trying it for a while. In a sense I'm tagging items with participants. I also use p1, p2, p3 for priorities. So, if I want to find all p1 involving bob I would need to use tags. So I'm thinking similar to the "starred" page but with selectable tags. Ad 2) Besides the updates you mention, I sometimes find that the javascripts can get confused. Don't know why, but then the ajax calls do not work anymore. It's not really reproducible :-( Reinier Van: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Namens Nicholas Van Weerdenburg Verzonden: woensdag 26 november 2008 19:47 Aan: Nicholas Van Weerdenburg; tracks ([email protected]) Onderwerp: Re: [Tracks-discuss] Tracks 1.6 Performance on Shared Accelerator As an update, things are running well on Joyent. While it can be sluggish opening the occasional page (5 -7 seconds), Ajax and my use of tabs reduce the impact of this. A couple of things I am doing: 1- Using firefox bookmarks a lot, e.g. [cid:[email protected]] With this, I have quick access to common pages. This was on the main reasons I choose tracks in the first place- it helps my workflow immensely. It also makes using tags more powerful since there isn't a tag page in Tracks other the star one and the tag cloud on the stats page (I'd love a mouse over tag cloud on all pages). 2- Using firefox tabs to open multiple pages from Tracks. On this I have a question: are there any known issues with running multiple tracks pages in tabs? One obvious one is that updates in one page (e.g. project) aren't reflex on another (e.g. @calls context). Is this a reasonable host option? I recall back on textdrive, performance was a bit too slow for me. I think this was on 1.42 or something like that. Thanks, Nick
