Looks to me like we've got quite a bit of consensus swirling around fixing up the Javascript.

- Refactoring the ajax code
- Change project or context with DnD
- Refactoring of todo controller and views (js). This is a real mess right now, although it seems to work :-)
- Migrate to jQuery and jQuery-GUI
- Notification of new todos

the UJS and other Javascript ickiness have been bugging me for a while, so it sounds like I've got my work cut out for me! We're in agreement that everything should be migrated from UJS and JS embedded in the views to nice, clean jQuery included as a script that dolls the pages up?

My wishlist:
· Upgrade to latest rails
· Good someday/maybe support
· Refactoring of todo controller and views (js). This is a real mess right now, although it seems to work :-)
· Group todos by context in project view
· Working import (and export) for people moving from webhost to another
· Migrate to jQuery and jQuery-GUI
· File attachments to todos and/or projects (using paperclip?)
· Notification of new todos (todos from tickler / todos from api)
· Migrate all tests to cucumber and rspec

My biggest wish is some time to do some of these myself, but that will not happen soon I’m afraid…

Onderwerp: [Tracks-discuss] Significant feature proposals?

Hey guys,
I'm finally out from under my summer contract, and I'm looking to get funded for working on Tracks this semester. To get the funding, I'd like to come up with something concrete to work on--some new feature or refactoring. Since Henrik beat me to the punch on dependencies, I'm fresh out of ideas. What would the community like to see in Tracks that's not currently being worked on? I can, of course, knock out bugs, but with a solid four months of several hours a week, I'd like to do something significant for Tracks.

My proposal is due in about a week. Suggestions?
