A lot of our users are using webhosts where you cannot upgrade ruby to 1.9.
So I think we should keep supporting 1.8.x. But currently Tracks won't work
for 1.9, so I'd like to see Tracks 2.2. work both on 1.8.7 and 1.9 with
rails3.1.

After writing the mail I could make most Tracks features working with only a
minor fix (adding one pair of braces) and using some different gems. Apart
from this minor stuff, I am also more in favour of moving completely over to
1.9 and not supporting both versions concurrently.

Subject: RE: [Tracks-discuss] Ruby 1.9 compatibility

I made some changes to Tracks a while back to get 1.9 running, but some
plugins/gems were failing on 1.9 and I couldn't find replacements and/or
replecements that run on rail2.3.x. I was thinking to postpone it to 2.2 so
we can move to rails3.1 and use recent gems/plugins that work on 1.9

Onderwerp: [Tracks-discuss] Ruby 1.9 compatibility

Hi,

I would like to hear what everybody else thoughts on Tracks and Ruby 1.9
are? I just started looking into the compatibility but I am not yet sure,
how much I have to change.

Thanks,

Stefan
