--bug report follows this line--
I've been having numerous problems over the past two months or so with scp
and ssh methods when running emacs under cygwin and trying to connect to a
remote Linux machine. The attached report is for a bug which occurs when I:
1) connect to the Linux machine and view a remote directory by dired
2) press C on the remote directoy and try to copy a file to the local
cygwin home directory.
3) error message is copy failed. additional information attached
below.
4) this is only one example of failures with scp and ssh between cygwin and
Linux which I have been having for the past 2 months or so. it used to
work well for me...
