Hi,

I have a Windows Vista in my small network, which I access via Samba. I
have no issues accessing its shared folders from my GNU/Linux machine,
nor accessing my Samba shares the other way around outside Emacs.
However, trying:

C-x C-f /smb:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/

---<---------------cut here---------------start-------------->---
Enter myuser's password:
Domain=[HISPIDA] OS=[Windows Vista (TM) Home Premium 6001 Service Pack 1]
Server=[Windows Vista (TM) Home Premium 6.0]
tree connect failed: NT_STATUS_BAD_NETWORK_NAME

Process *tramp/smb [EMAIL PROTECTED] exited abnormally with code 1
---<---------------cut here---------------end---------------->---

in Emacs GNU Emacs 23.0.60.1 (x86_64-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 2.12.11)
of 2008-11-13 on elegiac, modified by Debian certainly gives problems.
I suspect I'm not understanding the file name syntax for this protocol.
Any help beyond what's in the manual would be appreciated. Thanks.

Cheers,
