One issue that is outstanding is that some remote commands are failing as the pathname is being handled as if it were local. These include M-x grep and chmod (M in dired). I've tested with a plain plink on xemacs -q.

There are emulations in > tramp-util.el, but I haven't tested them for a long time in XEmacs. I still have these problems with some remote operations on tramp 2.1.18, XEmacs 21.5b29, native on XP SP3. The remote operations all work on tramp 2.1.16, with the patch for tramp-handle-dired-uncache. That version is okay for my usage but it would be good to fix 2.1.17/18. Any more hints for where to look? There were many changes from .16 to .17. -- Pete Forman -./\.- West Sussex, UK -./\.- http://petef.22web.net -./\.- [email protected] -./\.- _______________________________________________ Tramp-devel mailing list [email protected] http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/tramp-devel
