Another thing i noticed after upgrading from 2.3.3.26.1 to 2.4.2.1:
The user option "tramp-gvfs-methods" seems have no effect, when "ftp" is added:
In my .emacs:
(add-to-list 'tramp-gvfs-methods "ftp")
C-h v "tramp-gvfs-methods" output:
tramp-gvfs-methods is a variable defined in ‘tramp-gvfs.el’.
Its value is ("ftp" "afp" "dav" "davs" "gdrive" "nextcloud" "sftp")
Original value was ("afp" "dav" "davs" "gdrive" "nextcloud" "sftp")
But it doesn't use GVFS, still via tramp-ftp -> ange-ftp.
Just for info - i don't know, how many people still using FTP instead of
sftp/ssh :p
