Hard to say what happened. Iw ould need traces with tramp-verbose set to 10. No need to wait until the connection times out, after some few seconds you could interrupt ZTramp via C-g, and send the debug buffer. Pls send the whole traces, starting from the connection begin, and pls send it as attachment. In case of privacy concerns, you could send it directly to me.
