Michael is right: without additional information, we won't be able to say anything for sure. Often, the problem is that the remote shell doesn't think it's interactive and thus doesn't print a prompt. You can try the sshx method (ie, /sshx:[EMAIL PROTECTED]: instead of /ssh:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:) to see if that helps.
