Looks like your remote host is a Windows XP machine. This case, Tramp runs into problems, because it expects a Unix-like shell remotely. You see sending it commands, which are rejected by the Windows XP command executor. If your local machine were a UNIX host, you could use the smb method. But it is Windows XP either. Hmm, that's not supported by Tramp. If you don't need an ssh-protected connection, you could simply apply the NTEmacs build-in UNC file names like //xxx.yyyy.com/share/file (just from memory, check the documentation).
