I have a couple of questions that I'll throw out to the group, since
I think that they may have a fairly universal interest:
Question # 1: Does anyone know about a version of the
Transactions Data Dictionary that is electronic and formatted in a manner
(ie comma delimited) that I could use to load to a mainframe or server Data
Dictionary Tool? I know that it would be a lot of work to create, but I
think that I might be able to sell my management on the idea that it is a
justifiable expense. If you know of a commercial version, email me
privately, since I don't want to violate the rules of these groups.
Question # 2: Is there any HIPAA training from an payer/insurance point of view? Most of the stuff that I've seen at the conferences and being advertised is provider centric. I'm hoping the reason is that I'm just not on the right mailing list to get the payer version of the ads. I'm looking for a CBT type of course that I can swap modules in or out based upon the area being trained. I wouldn't want our claims examiners to get the same level of training that our IS staff would get. Naturally it would have to have a registration function as well as a Tracking function to record who took if for certification purposes... I would like it to be configurable, so that I could set it up so that if you failed the test, it should recycle you to the beginning... Again, if you know, email me privately, since I don't want to violate the rules of these groups. If I get any good answers, I'll forward them on to anyone that
emails me letting me know that you would like the answers as well.
